Blood World: Phoenix Throne #1
In the year 2587 mankind has spread out across our solar system and split into 3 main factions that vie for control of the system and mankind’s future. Earth is now referred to as the Terran Wastes and contains the crumbling remains of the Terran Federation. Their once great cities have either fallen or are falling into disrepair as mutated flora and fauna roam the planet The true rulers of the planet are the mutated human tribes who live in nomadic tribes and the bandit salvage gangs that pick at the slowly decaying corpse of the once great federation of man.
Inhabiting the moons of Saturn are the Sol Scientific Symposium (S3). Founded by scientists fleeing the early gene plagues on Earth, S3 is dedicated to improving humanity through genetic engineering. Every aspect of their society revolves around manipulation of the human genome. The government of S3 is in conflict with their neighbors orbiting Jupiter and send out their assassins and spies, the dreaded Blood Wraiths, to destabilize their main rivals for system hegemony.
Inhabiting the moons of Jupiter are the Ganymede Monarchy. Blood World: Phoenix Throne follows the political and military struggle for the Phoenix Throne held by Queen Ysobet Arnev I. Central to the struggle are her uncle Duke Evgeniy Arnev, Dragon of Ganymede 12 and her cousin Baron Domic Chabeau, Prince of New Lyon. Collectively, they and the other nobles rule over a trans-humanist society dedicated to the merging of man and machine. Descended from a rebel group exiled from earth centuries before – the people of the Ganymede Monarchy are fiercely warlike and vehemently opposed to the Sol Scientific Symposium and the remnants of The Terran Federation.
